Appearing for interview could be a daunting and tiring process. I have been part of hundreds of interviews in my 14 years of IT career.
Cleared few of them and learned from most of them by failing multiple time. The interview process starts from your resume. If your resume is not up to the mark, there are very grim chances of getting an interview call. Specially if you are an experience developer.
Once the hiring company likes your resume then comes the next phase of your recruitment process. It starts with technical interview or coding round and goes till managerial rounds. You might get overwhelmed by the whole process and most of the times it would not be one shot. You might have to appear for multiple companies to get through it.
